Interconnection Requirements

FEC will be happy to process your interconnection application once we receive the following:

  1. A completed interconnection application (click here for application) signed by the member.

  2. The site plan, including a one-line identifying the Production Meter,  Utility Meter, and AC Disconnect(s) for PV and ESS or a single disconnect that drops both sources together.

***(Please note that FEC will provide the Production Meter and Production Meter Can, so please do not charge the member for these items.)

  3. A check for the amount listed on the appropriate application based on the AC kW.

  4. The projected kWh output for each month of the year.

  • Once these are received, we will review the documentation and run some analysis. We will then contact the member to discuss the changes they can expect to see on their electric bill. After receiving consent from the member, we will notify you of the interconnection approval.

  • After installation, the State (or City) Electrical Inspector will inspect the work and send FEC a Permit Authorization. Once the Permit Authorization is received, FEC will install the Production Meter, typically within 2 days.
